As well as our water sessions, we also offer land training which plays a key role in your learn to row.
We are very fortunate to have the pleasure of this high tech facility on our doorstep, courtesy of Downing College. This amazing tank was the mastermind of Ian Watson, Director of Rowing at Downing College and a former GB medallist.
The tank allows your cox/coach to check on every rower individually and pick up on any little mistakes that would have ordinarilly been hidden in the boat. It also allows the cox/coach to make sure that ttiming and technique is exactly the same amongst all eight rowers.

GROUP ERG SESSIONS
If you took part in the rowing taster session, then our playground needs no introduction! We have 14 Concept2 ergs (rowing machines) and with the help of a coach, you will all Our group erg sessions are brilliant - even if we do say so ourselves! In every session, we focus on the full rowing technique at the start of every session with each segment of the rowing stroke, broken down. We then move onto a fitness session.
Group Fitness can be the perfect addition to any workout lacking excitement - especially erging! There is something quite magical doing it in sync with everyone else.
It's a great way to exercise and socialise all at once. As with most group fitness sessions, it helps you push harder - and get fitter!
Our sessions are mainly coached sessions and we give you new goals to work towards.
