In short, you get to go rowing in an 'eight' boat after being taught a simplified version of the rowing stroke. 

All eight participants will receive a tour of the club, fleet and facilities. They will then be taught the rowing stroke in the clubs gym using Concept 2 ergs (rowing machines). Once indoor training has been completed, all participants will take a boat and blades out of the boathouse for 'outdoor' training. This will be affixed to the bank where they will be paired up and then get to apply that rowing stroke, using a blade on the water. Full safety drills will be carried out here. Once the instructor is satisfied, then all eight will get in the boat – and go rowing on the river Cam outside all of the boathouses!

The group will be asked to perform individual tasks, working in pairs and then later in fours. If performed successfully, they will row all eight.
